From the Tar

A horror novel about five queer people on the edge of a great change in their relationships, neuroses flaring, memories warping, who are suddenly and inexplicably visited by a bug from hell, ripping apart the plurality keeping them discrete beings; keeping their minds, bodies, and spirits intact; keeping them safe.

From the Tar is New York-born, Melbourne-based writer Devi Lir's first novel. She is currently a PhD candidate of Screen and Cultural Studies at the University of Melbourne studying effects and representations of dangerous queer sexuality on film.
